Mihingo Lodge is built on a 500-million-year-old pre-Cambrian granite kopje adjacent to Lake Mburo National Park, with panoramic views across the savannah and down to a waterhole and valley below. Rwakobo Rock is built on a natural rocky outcrop at the edge of Lake Mburo National Park, approximately five minutes from the Nshara Gate. The lodge is family-run and takes an eco-friendly approach, including the use of purified water on site. Accommodation is spread across several buildings: Hornbill House (with five rooms), Monkey Cottage, additional standalone cottages, and safari tents — giving a range of options from solid-walled rooms to canvas-under-thatch. The swimming pool overlooks the Nshara ranchlands and the park boundary, while the dining area has views of a watering hole frequented by zebra, warthog, impala, and bushbuck. This combination of a lodge that doubles as a wildlife viewpoint is one of Rwakobo's distinguishing features.
