What We Do

Lodges of Uganda is an independent information platform that helps travelers find and compare accommodation across Uganda. We cover lodges, camps, guesthouses and hotels in all major safari and trekking regions — from Bwindi and Queen Elizabeth to Kidepo and Jinja.

Our goal is to provide clear, trustworthy information that helps you choose the right place to stay based on your budget, travel style, and interests. We are not a booking platform — we help you make informed decisions.

How We Work

Each lodge listing is built from publicly available information, official websites, and — where possible — personal visits. We write all descriptions independently, never copying text from lodge websites. Our content aims to be helpful, factual, and fair.

We do not accept payment to list lodges or influence our descriptions. Featured and partner lodges are clearly marked. Our verified visit badge means someone from our team has personally stayed at or inspected the property.

Connected to Local Expertise

Lodges of Uganda is connected to Misty Gorilla Expeditions, a local Uganda travel company based in Buhoma, Bwindi. This connection gives us on-the-ground knowledge of lodges, roads, and travel logistics that would be difficult to obtain from outside the country.
