Mihingo Lodge is built on a 500-million-year-old pre-Cambrian granite kopje adjacent to Lake Mburo National Park, with panoramic views across the savannah and down to a waterhole and valley below. The lodge blends into its rocky surroundings by design, using the natural contours of the hillside to integrate the buildings into the landscape. An infinity pool overlooking the valley and waterhole is the centrepiece of the common area.

What distinguishes Mihingo from other lodges in Uganda is its activity range, particularly the horseback safari.
